Climate may affect food security directly or indirectly.

For example, severe drought or flooding can directly threaten crop production, while indirectly, favorable environmental conditions in desert area can increase the number of Desert Locusts which may jeopardize crops hundreds of kilometers away. This facility aims to explore and inform users about the climate-food security relationship.
